HINESBURG, Vt. (AP) — A Vermont household’s hen is again dwelling after hitching a journey within the undercarriage of their pickup truck and ending up 13 miles away within the state’s largest metropolis late final month — a journey that included speeds of 65 miles per hour on an interstate.
Somebody having espresso on Burlington’s Church Avenue Market, an out of doors pedestrian mall, noticed the hen and knew the hen was in a predicament, WCAX-TV reported.
“That’s a hen! That’s a hen on Church Avenue and I don’t know why it’s right here,” Lo Fasano advised the information station. “What can I do now other than discover who it belongs to?”
Fasano known as rehabilitators, Shelburne Farms and the police.
“They stated they don’t do chickens,” Fasano stated.
So Fasano took the hen dwelling, gave her meals and a spot to nest, and turned to social media. A Fb submit led to discovering the hen’s house owners in Hinesburg who have been anxious concerning the misplaced hen.
The hen is now dwelling. Due to her adventurous spirit, the household modified her identify from Bug to Amelia after Amelia Earhart, the primary girl to fly alone throughout the Atlantic Ocean.
