Lifeless and Dying Seabirds Recognized off Maine Coast | Maine Information | gadgetfee

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine Audubon scientist is alarmed by stories of extra lifeless seabirds — this time in Casco Bay.

Shannon Silverson, who lives on Peaks Island, seen about 30 lifeless and dying birds this week. “It was only a dreadful feeling,” she instructed WGME-TV.

Doug Hitchcox of the Maine Audubon Society suspects the lifeless and dying nice black-backed gulls on Mink Rocks, simply east of Cliff Island, have been victims of avian flu. However checks might be wanted to substantiate that, he mentioned.

This wasn’t the one alarming occasion of lifeless birds being discovered within the area. A whole lot of lifeless cormorants washed up on the shores of Martha’s Winery earlier this week.
