The primary official joint portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been revealed to the general public on the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, England.
The Duke and Duchess visited Cambridge on Thursday to see the 210 centimeter by 110 centimeter oil portray, crafted by British artist Jamie Coreth. The portray was commissioned in 2021 by the Cambridgeshire Royal Portrait Fund, in line with the Fitzwilliam Museum. Coreth included Cambridge itself into the portrait, selecting background tones and a hexagonal architectural motif impressed by buildings throughout the town, the museum famous in a press release. The area is the namesake for the pair’s titles, which had been granted to them by Queen Elizabeth II on the day of their marriage ceremony in 2011.

The portray can be on present on the Fitzwilliam for 3 years after which loaned to the Nationwide Portrait Gallery in London in 2023 to mark that establishment’s reopening.
