MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia has restricted entry to the web site of Germany’s Die Welt newspaper on the request of prosecutors, in accordance with the nation’s communications regulator.
Russian officers accuse the West of spreading false details about what Moscow describes as a “particular navy operation” in Ukraine. Since sending troops to the neighbouring nation on Feb. 24, Russia has blocked or restricted entry to BBC, Voice of America, Deutsche Welle and different media retailers.
It was not instantly clear why prosecutors requested for the restriction in respect of welt.de web page.
Roskomnadzor, the communications regulator, didn’t instantly reply to an emailed request for remark.
