LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A federal trial has been delayed for an Arkansas man who was photographed together with his ft on a desk in Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s workplace in the course of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot.
A federal choose on Monday moved the trial for Richard Barnett, of Gravette, from Sept. 6 to Dec. 12. The delay was requested as a result of Barnett’s legal professional has been recovering from COVID-19 and Lyme illness.
Barnett was amongst supporters of President Donald Trump who stormed the Capitol as lawmakers assembled to certify Joe Biden’s victory over Trump. Prosecutors say Barnett was carrying a stun gun when he entered the constructing.
Barnett has pleaded not responsible to federal expenses, together with coming into and remaining in a restricted constructing with a harmful weapon, theft of presidency property and disorderly conduct.
